Spend two days sampling the best walks and attractions in Northumberland with amazing food, staying in its finest hotels, guided every step of the way by Heritage Walks Northumberland.

The great outdoors of Northumberland takes some beating and this experience is designed for couples who want to savour something unique.
​
I will meet you at your hotel and take you in my vehicles to the start point of a walk that takes us to lunchtime. We will visit Cuthbert's Cave, a place of mystery and legend and walk through beautiful countryside including woodland that provides a home to Red Squirrels. We then eat at an excellent rural pub (The Percy Arms, Chatton).

The afternoon will be spent either visiting Holy Island (tide dependent) or the magnificent Bamburgh Castle (the 'home' of Uthred, who features in the hit series 'The Last Kingdom' as Bebbanburg).
​
I will then return you to your hotel.
​
Day two will consist of a morning walk around the glorious estate grounds of Cragside (National Trust). After light refreshments/lunch in a smart cafe in Rothbury (Bewicks) there will be an option to visit the house and gardens of Cragside or returning directly to the hotel.
​
The experience would combine the scenery and atmosphere of rural Northumberland with some classic historic venues. All within easy reach of two good hotels.
